Inter University 2011 Chess championship ended up on passed 24th at South Eastern Universtiy Sri Lanka . University of Peradeniya won their 5th consecutive Championship though had a strong fight with University of Moratuwa, University of Jayawardanapura & University of Colombo.
University of colombo won the womens championship while UOP and UOM wining Runner up and second Runner up respectively.

congz pera...... mm I think in this time all teams..come in stronger ...So it is better to chess in University level..............
ReplyDeletethanks... yeah,, all teams were considerably strong than past.. University of Jayawardanapura, Colombo,, they gave us a strong attack.. I think all other top universities have more practice than us, only the advantage is we have most experienced players with former national players.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with you. since 1995 there are no much competition among all universities, only between UOP and UOM. In current situation, it has changed a lot saying warriors waiting to carry away the crown...
